Uninor Adds 2.49 mn Subscribers in January 2012

Uninor continues to retain the topmost position in terms of subscriber addition, with the adding up of 2.49 mn users in the month of January 2012. With this the total subscriber base of the operator has reached 38.79 mn, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The operator recently threatened to quit the Indian telecom market, after the cancellation of its 2G licenses by the Supreme Court.
