India to Bring Public Procurement Legislation

The Union Budget 2012-13 announced government’s commitment to the enactment of a public procurement legislation to enhance confidence in public procurement and to ensure transparency and efficiency in the process. The bill in this regard is to be introduced in the budget session of the Parliament.
