Infosys has won a project worth 700 crore from the Department of Post (DoP), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India under the ‘India Post 2012’ modernization program. Infosys will facilitate the transformation of financial services across 150,000 post offices in the country. Under the agreement, Infosys and India Post will embark on a transformational initiative, which encompasses financial services system integration. This project, estimated at 700 crore, aims to transform India Post into a technologyenabled and autonomous market leader, by revolutionizing its financial operations and end-user services. The UIDAI has struck a 7-year contract with HCL Infosystems. HCL Infosystems will implement and manage the Central ID Repository (CIDR) for UIDAI. HCL will be a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for UIDAI. As part of the contract, the entire end-to-end technology infrastructure of the UIDAI will be managed by HCL Infosystems. As the MSP, HCL Infosystems will be responsible for procurement and installation of the IT infrastructure, implementation of information security management systems, and operations support and maintenance.
