Hughes Communications to Connect Jharkhand Police Stations

Hughes Communications (HCIL), a subsidiary of Hughes Network Systems, has announced that it has been chosen by NIIT Technologies to connect police stations across the state of Jharkhand. The project will link the state and national crime records bureaus, creating a central record database that can be accessed in real-time from any police station across the country, greatly enhancing police efficiency in the detection and prevention of crimes. The police stations will be connected through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) project.
