Competitive edge basically comes from the open source world. Open source product has an inherent advantage, many of these products are very mature and have advanced features. Our offerings are based on open source called Asterisk. In this market, Asterisk has a very good market share and it is more efficient as compared to the offerings provided by bigwigs in the IP PBX market. The basic architecture of Asterisk is very well-suited for the unified communications market. As known, unified communication relies on convergence of all types of communications and now everything is transitioning to IP based. Pith the help of IP, we monitor and manage IP PBX more dynamically.

The National Telecom Policy (NTP) 2012 has approved VoIP, how do you perceive the future of IP PBX in India?
NTP 2012 has been passed but the notification of actual execution is yet to pick pace. Obviously, it would take time. Once those notifications are in place, it will be completely IP PBX and would replace traditional PBX. IP PBX brings cost advantages and it reduces opex, capex, and communication costs. Once there is actual deployment, IP PBX revenues are likely to increase at a CAGR of at least 30-40%.
NTP 2012 with voice liberalization is the most important driver in the IP PBX market. And this has the potential to bring in 10x effect.
