Phase II Cable TV Digitization Rolls On, to Close by March 2013

Digitization of the analogue cable television networks goes in full swing, India embarks the second phase of digitization process which is expected to be completed by March 31, 2013. After the successful completion of cable digitization across 3 metros viz Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, the second phase will digitize cable TVs in 38 cities across 15 states. A high level meeting headed by Uday Kumar Varma, secretary, information and broadcasting has decided to conduct one day workshop to prepare an integrated plan of action for a smooth and flawless transition in phase II cities in November.
