What are the key trends in the enterprise segment?
Mobility apps are increasing and it is a key trend in the enterprise segment. A lot of pilots are happening and very soon we will launch more app based solutions. With increasing number of apps, tablets, and smartphones being launched, there is an increased concern by CIO/CTOs for data security. We are working towards that direction to provide some solutions that secures data on mobile. We are also witnessing increased trends in cloud services as well.
Which are the key verticals and offerings from Tata DoCoMo’s enterprise business?
Our key verticals are BFSI, IT/IT-enabled services, manufacturing, and services. Our major offerings include sales force automation, field force automation, smart bus tracking solutions, home surveillance, and others. We will enhance focus on mobility apps, managed services, and cloud.
How was the last fiscal for enterprise business?
Our Enterprise segment is doing well both in terms of voice and data—wired and wireless voice contributes about 45%, wireless and wired data contributes around 45 %. The remaining 10% covers smaller product lines. Our revenue from enterprise segment is over 3,000 crore. Revenue comes largely from wireless data and wired data. Mobility is a small part, currently. We outgrew the market in last fiscal. Market grew by 9% and we grew by 18%.
What are the new offerings in the enterprise business?
In this financial year we have added 2 path breaking new products—SIP Trunk and Hosted Campaign Manager (HCM). SIP Trunk service enables enterprises to reduce operational costs of installed IP-Private Branch exchanges (PBX) for telephone calls and it also improves telephone communications. SIP trunk allows an enterprise to subscribe from a minimum 20 voice channels to a maximum of 1500 channels on the same physical link. It enables organizations to access/make calls from both terrestrial and IP on a single equipment without worrying about regulations with regard to call termination.
Hosted Campaign Manager is a virtual telemarketing platform that allows the user-enterprise to communicate to hundreds of customers instantly and simultaneously without investing in infrastructure.
How is the response for these products?
SIP Trunk is a standard product for enterprises. We already have 3 customers since the launch of it in September 2012, The concept of HCM has been very well received; yet we are working on certain key areas as HCM targets a specific and niche market which basically relies on SMS/telecalling.
