Videocon to Launch FDD-LTE Service

Videocon plans to launch LTE services in the second half of 2013. Recently, the company has bagged liberalised spectrum for telecom circles of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, UP (East), UP (West), and Bihar. The spectrum won by Videocon in the recent 2G auction is paired and liberalised and can be used to roll out next generation networks and services by adapting a highly spectrally efficient 4G technology FDD-LTE. This enables operators to gain more efficiency using the same spectrum resources.
