‘Sky tablet primarily targets the education sector’

- V&D Correspondent

What’s India’s strategy for I-Net Labs? Any plans of tablet manufacturing in India?

We are working on a very simple strategy; we want to make it a necessity for everyone and to reach every common man. Basically, instead of making high profits we just want to bring high technology to India at affordable cost to show the world that in India everyone can afford tablets like in the US or Europe. Yes, we want to bring the cost down and we have plans to produce this tablet in India.

How is SKQ tablet different from other competing products available in the market?

I-Net Labs entered the market with highend quad processor tablets on low-cost comparing to the market leaders. We have our applications which are useful for everyone and we are delivering good quality at lower price. Our processor and android version is higher and better than any other low-cost tablet in the market. This makes ‘SKY’ different from other products available in the market.

How have you managed to keep the cost of SKQ tablet at 2,990?

Our R&D team worked hard to control cost by maintaining quality at the same time and our management team helped us reduce our overheads. This is not the only tablet I-Net Labs has produced. We are producing more tablets which are very luxurious and are high-on-cost than sky tablet.

Who are your target consumers and how many SKQ tablets do you aim to sell in 2013?

We have very high expectations with this tablet. We are planning to sell about 2-3 mn Sky tabs in 2013. We want this tab to reach every segment of the society. Our target is not the iPad customer but someone who can buy 10 sky tablets at the price of one iPad.

For now, education seems to be the vertical; a large number of models are positioned at this segment. But our SKY tablet can be utilized by a school or college student, businessmen, doctors, teachers, engineers, lawyers, housewives, or any other professional. With the kind of features we have provided in this low-cost tab, anybody would enjoy using it.

What is the distribution strategy for selling SKQ tablets in the country?

We will sell through all possible distribution and sales channels. We are also hoping to produce Sky tablets for export market. We want this tablet to reach every common man for which we will follow all means and strategies.

Qou are planning to enter the Indian handset market. What is your strategy?

Hi-tech tablets not only meet the growing demand of consumers but demonstrate a milestone in the advancement of mobile technology and the growth of the digital economy, which I-Net Labs is proud to be a part of. As of now, we don’t have any plans for launching handsets. But definitely, we will bring tablets which can be used as a phone.
