Government should encourage Infrastructure Provider (IP) companies to build the optical fibre access networks which can be shared by multiple service providers Expedite the NOFN project for nationwide Broadband proliferation. Despite the critical nature of the NOFN project, it has been much delayed. Originally estimated to complete by October 2013, it is now expected to complete by March 2016 With Wi-Fi led Integrated Solutions, mobile operators can take their services to rural areas, difficult terrains etc. much faster since they do not need to erect infrastructure which is expensive and time-consuming Critically review the proposed revenue share on broadband, and lessen or do away with the burden of spectrum usage charges on broadband revenue
