The revised policy appears to be a fair policy and will give a level-playing-field for all. The new Government should look at additional mechanisms to promote entrepreneurs. In the telecom sector for example, private players should be encouraged to provide opportunities to Indian start-ups. We have seen how AT&T provides a platform for start-ups to make a mark via its AT&T Foundry program and how it has led to accelerated innovation in a setup that is mutually beneficial. Indian entrepreneurs need a launch-pad, and drawing clues from global success stories such as the AT&T one, would give them the necessary fast-track.
