ASUS Announces Fonepad 7 Dual Sim Tablet

Adding yet another feather to its Fonepad series, Asus has announced the launch of Fonepad 7 Dual Sim tablet. The device boasts of 7” display, a built-in full phone and cellular 3G data function. The dual SIM support Fonepad 7 is powered by Intel Atom Z2520 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor and runs on Android 4.2. It features a 1280x800 screen resolution along with 1.2 MP Front Camera and 5 MP Rear Camera with Auto focus. The third generation Fonepad 7 with dual Sim claims to offer 30 hours of 3G talk time and 10 hours of video playback, with a memory backup of 1GB. It also features a micro SD for up to an additional 64GB of storage. Speaking at the launch, Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia, and Country Manager, System Business Group, ASUS India, said that, “Dual Sim devices have gained substantial consumer attention in the country. Our new dual Sim device combines the widely accepted innovation and all the necessary functionality. Its availability at much lesser price point makes it even more desirable.” The ASUS Fonepad Dual Sim is priced at 12,999 and is said to eventually hit all ASUS exclusive stores and major multi-brand retail outlets soon after its launch.
