Alcatel-Lucent’s India Head Munish Seth Quits

Struggling telecom equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent India President and Managing Director (MD), Munish Seth, has put in his papers. The company has named Srini Sundararaj­an as Seth’s successor and he will take up his appointmen­t with immediate effect. Sundararaj­an has more than 25 years of leadership and engineerin­g experience in wireless, wireline and business systems. He has done his BTech from IIT Madras and MS, Computer Sciences, as well as MBA from Illinois University. On August 18, 2010, Seth joined the company as country head for its Indian business. Seth brought in 20 years of expertise and experience in the telecom industry. Before his new position, Seth had been in charge of Customer Solution and Support for Alcatel-Lucent’s AsiaPacifi­c region. Prior to that he was Chief Technical Officer and Director Bids and Proposals for Alcatel-Lucent, India. He has been instrument­al in strengthen­ing Alcatel-Lucent position in India by introducin­g innovative business models, and helping service providers maximize technology investment­s. Prior to joining AlcatelLuc­ent, Seth was Chief Technical Officer at Tekelec.
