‘We now have to expand in India market’
—Eldad Barak, CEO, Tadiran Telecom
Voice&Data: In India, so far Tadiran’s customers were large enterprises, and government. Now do you propose looking at smaller organizations also as customers?
Eldad Barak: Typically, we work with larger customers because of our system being very robust and good for these type of organizations. But yes, definitely we are widening our scope of customers. Actually, we are doing this by leading the trend in India with telephony becoming unified communication and collaboration. We have the latest state-of-theart technology solutions in this arena. I believe, it is a good point in time to strengthen our presence in India market and lead users to the new next generation technology. We already have six large system integration partners in India, and are also in the process of signing up with some international partners.
Voice&Data: Typically, what verticals do you focus more on?
Eldad Barak: In terms of verticals, globally we are very strong in the power industry, transportation mainly railway metro. As I said transportation, we almost have 50% market share in the Indian Railways. We have more that 30% market share in metro railway market in China. We have many railway installations in Russia, including many airports. The Rashtrapati Bhavan in India has a Tadiran deployment. We also have lots of installations in healthcare industry, and in education. While we have a vertical focus, we have generic solutions which we deploy across other verticals.
Voice&Data: Can you name some of your big customers in India?
