Vivo forays into Indian market
Global handset manufacturer Vivo has entered the Indian market with X5Max, priced at Rs 32,980, the company claims it to be the world’s slimmest smartphone. At the same time, targeting the youth it has also launched four other smartphones ranged between Rs 7,000-40,000. Vivo has formed a strategic marketing and communication partnership with entertainment network Viacom18 through its Integrated Network Solutions (INS) division to market its products in India. The company claims its USPs to be Hi-Fi and Smart technologies. X5Max has only 4.75mm thickness. It is equipped with extreme Hi-Fi and 5.5 inch SUPER AMOLED 1920*1080 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon615 64-bit Octa-Core processor. Operating on Funtouch OS (based on Android 4.4), the phone comes with a 13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will be available at all leading smartphone retail stores across India, a statement said. Vivo mainly presents three leading product lines, which are X series with extreme Hi-Fi & Appearance and Slimness; Xplay series with extreme Hi-Fi and video display experience and Xshot series with extreme Hi-Fi and Video capturing performance.
