Country Director, India, Tadiran

Voice&Data: How has Tadiran’s India journey been so far?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: Tadiran has been serving the enterprise communications domain for over 50 years. In India, we have been present for more than 20 years and have major market share in some very important verticals such as transportation, power, space research, education and defense.

We launched our completely new portfolio of UC&C (unified collaboration and communication) solution “AEONIX” about two years back and it has met with tremendous success in India and globally.

Voice&Data: What type of trends are you noticing in the Indian unified communication market today?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: The UC market is moving more and more towards cloud whether it is private cloud, public cloud or even hybrid cloud. The SMBs are fast adapting to the public cloud and the hosted companies are increasing the focus on ‘Unified Communications as a Service’ (UCAAS). The smart cities and the Digital India campaign by the government will give this much more impetus.

Voice&Data: How are the challenges of security, application hosting, and networking are being solved with Tadiran products?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: Aeonix is a software only communications solution that consolidates disparate business applications into a single, fault tolerant platform. The Aeonix Unified Communications platform, Aeonix Contact Center, and

Aeonix Dispatch Console, all reside in one virtual instance or COTS(Commercially of the Shelf Server).

Aeonix runs on any virtualization platform including VMware, Hyper-V and cloud platforms such as AWS, and can easily port from one platform to another -- Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC).

Cloud based, hybrid or on premises, Aeonix provides the same enterprise grade feature set and capabilities. Aeonix’s unparalleled scalability allows immediate ROI for a managed services practice. Other advantages of the Aeonix include simplicity of implementation and maintenance, and support for open standards such as SIP, CSTA, and web services.

Voice&Data: What would be the key differentiators of Tadiran?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: Tadiran enables AWS System Integrators to migrate their customers’ communications to the cloud.

In addition, Aeonix’s unparalleled scalability allows the establishment of a managed services practice with little to no upfront investment. Thereby, Tadiran channel partners and ITSP’s can now afford to keep their long lasting business relationship with their customers and not hand them over to a competing VoIP cloud. Our partners can offer Aeonix on premises, and transition their customers to their cloud at a later stage for no extra charge. Aeonix can also function as a hybrid solution providing disaster recovery nodes at unprecedented low cost.

Voice&Data: What type of response have you received from the UC cloud base system so far?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: With any new technology there will be some early adaptors and there will be some who will wait and watch. The cloud is here to stay hence we are aggressively promoting our best in class and unparalleled technology and we have received encouraging response from the organizations who want to test new technology.

Voice&Data: Which are the UC and VoIP projects you have taken up of late?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: We are under NDA (non disclosure agreement) with our end customers and partners. However, we can safely say that in the next two years after promoting this product, we will have more than a thousand wins all across the world.

Voice&Data: What are your go-to-market

strategies?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: Tadiran is a company headquartered in Israel and we operate in five major geographies and India is one of the key focus areas for Tadiran. We only work through business partners, while we develop new technology.

We have substantially increased our business activity in India in the last two years and we are recruiting more partners and SIs so as to take our solution to more and more enterprises. You will see even more action by Tadiran in the coming year 2016.

Voice&Data: What’s the outlook for the UC market in India?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: The various new initiatives by the government will drive the UC market towards growth. As I mentioned earlier the new programs like Smart Cities, Modernization of Railways, Digital India, Subway/Metro projects will definitely contribute to this growth.

Voice&Data: How much growth are you expecting in this fiscal and how much revenues you clocked last year? Which are the factors actually driving the growth?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: We expect by the end of December 2015, we will clock a growth of almost 100% over the revenues of December 2014. The major factors for growth will be our new technology that has become a proven solution this year and hence the partners are much more confident in promoting our solution.

Our growth will be helped by the country’s economic growth, which is growing at a healthy rate of seven percent. Besides, the decision making in the government has become fast and smooth.

Voice&Data: Moving forward, which will be your key focus areas?

Gaurav Dutt Dwivedi: Tadiran has been a choice for the customers which have mission critical requirements and that continues to be our focus area. We are very active in the transportation, healthcare, research organizations, defense forces and we will take our Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC) concept to private enterprises also.

As I said, we are going to recruit new partners /SIs who will complement our strategy with their strength and we will provide most efficient, reliable and simple UC platform to the customers who can be hosted on premise and on any cloud environment.
