LSO development is gaining increased support among provider professionals worldwide and is the key component that will drive the "Third Network" adaption unlocking efficiencies and monetization opportunities for telecoms.

Building on 14 years of its success with Carrier Ethernet work, the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), a global standards development organization, is now focused on the development of LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration) with APIs to enable paradigm-shifting agile, assured, and orchestrated services over more efficient, automated networks called – the “Third Network”.
