PayUmoney upgrades app to garner 12,000 merchant registrations

-

In a bid to assist the SME ecosystem in joining the m-commerce bandwagon, PayUmoney has launched an augmented version of its PayUmoney seller app.

The app facilitates merchants to smoothly get on board the mobile platform, with the additional feature of selling their products or services through the app itself. This, according to the company, also saves the merchants, the tedious on-boarding process of using a desktop or a laptop computer through a website. The merchants simply need to follow instructions on the app, as it takes them through a procedure of becoming an m-commerce enabled business.

Elucidating further on the app, Abhishek Tripathi, head of Business, PayUmoneySMB commented, “We had launched the first version of the seller app almost two years ago, which was for merchants, to utilize the trading tools of PayUmoney SME business. After launching the new version, we have on boarded 10, 000 merchants, of which 20% were directed through the app.”
