Qual­comm’s Su­nil Lal­vani quits

Qual­comm In­dia Pres­i­dent and VP Su­nil Lal­vani has re­signed from his post af­ter a stint of just over a year. “Su­nil Lal­vani has de­cided to step down from his po­si­tion as VP & Pres­i­dent of Qual­comm In­dia. His re­place­ment will be an­nounced shortly. Un­til then, Parag Kar, Vice Pres­i­dent of Govern­ment Af­fairs is serv­ing as the in­terim head of In­dia,” the com­pany said in its state­ment.

Lal­vani served Black­Berry as In­dia head be­fore join­ing Qual­comm, and worked at EMC Cor­po­ra­tion, Nokia Cor­po­ra­tion, Cisco Sys­tems and SITA Equant Net­work (now Orange Busi­ness Ser­vices). Lal­vani has more than 21 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in sales, busi­ness de­vel­op­ment, strate­gic planning and busi­ness op­er­a­tions across the IT and tele­com sec­tors.

He holds a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in elec­tron­ics en­gi­neer­ing from Bom­bay Univer­sity and a post grad­u­ate di­ploma in mar­ket­ing man­age­ment from Xavier’s In­sti­tute of Man­age­ment, In­dia.
