NOKIA NAMES SARI BALDAUF AS BOARD CHAIR

With Risto Siilasmaa is stepping down as Nokia’s board chair, the company has announced that it plans to appoint former networks chief Sari Baldauf to succeeding him. Sixty-four year Baldauf who has served as the EVP and GM of Nokia’s Networks business group from 1998 to 2005 is slated to take charge in April 2020, subject to shareholder approval at the group’s annual general meeting. She has served as Nokia’s board of director since last year and has also been o n the boards of companies like Daimler, Deutsche Telekom, Akzo Nobel and Finnish utility Fortum.
