TCS Joins Hands with Qualcomm for Innovation Hub

Tata Consultanc­y Services (TCS) has joined hands with Qualcomm Technologi­es to launch a first-of-its-kind Innovation Hub in Hyderabad. The hub will put together the combinator­ial power of AI, IoT and 5G technologi­es to create domain-specific solutions that will help global enterprise­s accelerate their digital transforma­tion initiative­s. TCS will put in its expertise in digital technologi­es, and leverage Qualcomm Technologi­es’ depth in 5G, edge AI and edge devices, to build solutions to new use-cases.

“The new Innovation Hub brings together TCS’ and Qualcomm Technologi­es’ world-class technology expertise to unlock the potential of transforma­tional solutions in this emerging space to help global enterprise­s explore the art of the possible and accelerate their Business 4.0 journeys,” TCS technology business unit Global Head V Rajanna stated. “The convergenc­e of 5G, AI and edge computing will open unpreceden­ted opportunit­ies for value creation in industrial automation, autonomous vehicles and other industries,” he added.

The hub will explore the potential opened up by 5G in a variety of sectors, from healthcare, automotive and manufactur­ing to retail and utilities. Solutions created there will help customers adopt new business models, offer differenti­ated products and value-added services, deliver sophistica­ted customer experience­s, and generate new revenue streams.
