Truecaller names Tejinder Gill as new head of India
Tejinder Gill has joined as the VP of sales and head of India operations at Truecaller. He will focus on building monetization strategies, and running the India operations.
Previously, Kari Krishnamurthy, was handling both the strategic partnership and monetization in India, and will now be transitioned to the Stockholm headquarter to lead the global brand initiative.
Backed by over a decade of sales leadership & general management experience in the technology sector, Gill is passionate about setting up businesses ground-up, cultivating an inspirational culture, building a high performing team and delighting customers with innovative solutions that solve meaningful marketing problems. Gill joins Truecaller from the core leadership team of LinkedIn in India, which he’s been part of since 2010. He has also been associated with Yahoo India, where he was heading sales at verticals like auto, consumer durables and technology.
Through innovative in-app ad sales efforts, Truecaller has recently seen some very encouraging early results with brands liaising with Truecaller to reach the right set of target audiences. Under Gill’s leadership, advertising business from brands like Flipkart, Airtel, Nikon, Apple, Huawei, Motorola among others have already ensured strong results this festive season around Diwali.
