True­caller names Te­jin­der Gill as new head of In­dia

Te­jin­der Gill has joined as the VP of sales and head of In­dia op­er­a­tions at True­caller. He will fo­cus on build­ing mon­e­ti­za­tion strate­gies, and run­ning the In­dia op­er­a­tions.

Pre­vi­ously, Kari Kr­ish­na­murthy, was han­dling both the strate­gic part­ner­ship and mon­e­ti­za­tion in In­dia, and will now be tran­si­tioned to the Stock­holm head­quar­ter to lead the global brand ini­tia­tive.

Backed by over a decade of sales lead­er­ship & gen­eral man­age­ment ex­pe­ri­ence in the tech­nol­ogy sec­tor, Gill is pas­sion­ate about set­ting up busi­nesses ground-up, cul­ti­vat­ing an in­spi­ra­tional cul­ture, build­ing a high per­form­ing team and de­light­ing cus­tomers with in­no­va­tive so­lu­tions that solve mean­ing­ful mar­ket­ing prob­lems. Gill joins True­caller from the core lead­er­ship team of LinkedIn in In­dia, which he’s been part of since 2010. He has also been associated with Ya­hoo In­dia, where he was head­ing sales at ver­ti­cals like auto, con­sumer durables and tech­nol­ogy.

Through in­no­va­tive in-app ad sales ef­forts, True­caller has re­cently seen some very en­cour­ag­ing early re­sults with brands li­ais­ing with True­caller to reach the right set of tar­get au­di­ences. Un­der Gill’s lead­er­ship, ad­ver­tis­ing busi­ness from brands like Flip­kart, Air­tel, Nikon, Ap­ple, Huawei, Mo­torola among others have al­ready en­sured strong re­sults this fes­tive sea­son around Di­wali.
