The highly renowned Ja­panese din­ing venue, OKU, at Ho­tel In­done­sia Kempin­ski Jakarta, re­cently cel­e­brated its sec­ond an­niver­sary with an ex­cep­tional sev­en­course wine-paired din­ner pre­pared with great care and de­vo­tion by

OKU'S Chef Kazu­masa Yazawa. Ea­ger din­ers flocked to the pop­u­lar event, which was beau­ti­fully dec­o­rated with cherry blos­soms and can­dle­light and ac­com­pa­nied by live mu­sic. Chef Kaz pulled out all the stops and pre­sented exquisitely pre­pared del­i­ca­cies in­clud­ing the just-in-sea­son ice fish that was flown in that day, a richly sat­is­fy­ing sea urchin toast, his sig­na­ture crispy chicken, grilled grass-fed wagyu and a beau­ti­fully pre­sented Straw­berry Sur­prise. Guests were greeted with a glass of SBX sparkling brut wine, while a se­lec­tion of Del­i­cato wines and a 337 Caber­net Sauvi­gnon 2013 were paired with the cour­ses.
