Boasting the world’s longest commercial flight, Singapore Airlines now flies non-stop to three cities across the USA.

Launched in October, Singapore Airlines' Singapore to New York route, at around 15,000km and with a flight time of up to 19 hours, is the world's longest direct commercial flight and is one of three direct routes to the USA the iconic carrier currently operates from its fabulous Changi Airport hub.

Singapore Airlines currently operates three direct services from Singapore to Newark, Los Angeles and San Francisco with a fourth direct service to USA to be introduced later this year, direct to Seattle. Singapore Airlines uses the Airbus A350900ULR (ultra-long-range) one of the most environmen­tally friendly and fueleffici­ent passenger aircraft in production today on its direct US route, which features the airline's award-winning Business Class cabin with superb levels of space and seating arranged in a forward facing 1-2-1 configurat­ion, meaning every Business Class customer has direct aisle access for maximum comfort and convenienc­e.

Embodying the very essence of luxury travel, the ergonomica­lly designed and spacious Business Class cabin includes touch control 70-cm wide leather seats that transform into a comfortabl­e almost 2-meter long bed. With curved backs and effective dividers the seats are significan­tly larger than standard to help natural and restful sleeping aided by a choice of pillows, amenities and comfort aids like the padded seat topper.

The excellent in-flight entertainm­ent is viewed via a large 18-inch touch screen complement­ed by active noise-cancelling headphones that allow customers to either immerse themselves in the Canyon Ranch wellness videos or enjoy a huge selection of movies, TV programmes and music on demand. For those using their own devices the seat also comes with charging points and on-board Wifi.

Designed to suit all tastes and backed by an excellent selection of beverages, including premium spirits and champagnes, Singapore Airlines World Gourmet Cuisine offers an exquisite combinatio­n of internatio­nal and local delicacies including signature dishes from the airline's acclaimed Internatio­nal Culinary Panel and specialist menus.

To complement the World Gourmet Cuisine, and in collaborat­ion with Canyon Ranch, the team has also developed a range of additional healthy dishes, where the food is not just delicious and beautifull­y presented but carefully balanced and nutritious.
