Known as W Hotels' flagship hotel in Asia and a true lifestyle icon, W Bali - Seminyak celebrated its eighth anniversary last March. Regular patrons would know to expect only the most pumping parties from the hip resort, and the eighth anniversary celebration was no exception. The brand's penchant for being the first to unveil what's new and next was confirmed in its cool collaboration with the Numimous – a guide designed for travellers who are also cosmic fans, personalising travel inspirations based on preferences and Zodiac signs.
Since W Bali - Seminyak is a Pisces, the property has set up the Goby the Fish installation by the beach. The giant seethrough fish is not only a unique sight to behold, but it also doubles as a vessel to contain plastic bottles – a reminder to help reduce plastic waste in the ocean. Furthermore, the resort treated Pisces guests who shared their birth date and stayed in the hotel during the Pisces month to a complimentary fish tattoo.
On the day of the celebration on 16 March, the party started early at 4pm with interesting programmes and activities, like sneakers cleaning and live screen tote bag printing – attracting youngsters with an eye for the latest trends. Meanwhile, at the resort's famed Woobar, party goers could be seen basking in exclusively made signature cocktails and pop-up bites all night long. W Bali - Seminyak's resident DJS Wilson and Andreas Seider kicked off the commemoration, warming up the crowd before giving up the stage to special guests DJS Mousse T and Gotsome.
