Aesthetic Brilliance
Tudor Black Bay GMT
Back at this year’s Baselworld fair, Tudor introduced a new member of the Black Bay line with a highly functional complication: A multiple time-zone function—also known as a GMT function— that establishes local time without losing sight of the time in two other time zones. Like the other models in the famed Black Bay line, the new Black Bay GMT features a dial inspired by Tudor’s divers’ watches produced during the 1950s. Moreover, the additional time zones are indicated by a red snowflake hand—another of Tudor’s aesthetic hallmarks—which spins around the dial in 24 hours, as well as a bidirectional rotatable bezel that is also calibrated for 24 hours. All in all, for their first introduction of a GMT function in a Black Bay line, Tudor has surely made all the right moves.
