ACCURACY AND PRECISION
Jacquet Droz Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara Tiger
Created to celebrate the brand’s 280th anniversary, Jacquet Droz’s Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara features plique-à-jour enameling, a highly complex art with high risk of failure that very few brands even attempt. Essentially, this particular craft is is hard because the composition is not made up of a single piece of enamel but is instead made up of different colors and shapes separated by gold wire cloisons. The dial also doesn’t have a metal background to support the enameling, meaning there is no case back. So, like a stained glass window, light shines through the translucent enamel and illuminate the tiger’s head. This watch is available in two versions: With a white gold diamondset case with the tiger in hues of blue or a red gold diamond-set case with brown tones.
