Here’s to New resolutioNs
ou might notice that this issue’s cover is a bit different. Along with a new year, our new resolutions materialize in the changes we bring into the magazine that, hopefully, will both surprise and please you. One thing for sure, we’re ramping up our celebrity features, introducing to you a wide range of unique personalities.
Speaking of which, Adam Senn, our cover boy for this issue, is no ordinary thespian. While acting has been his dream since the get-go, this ambitious star initially made a name for himself in the modeling world, where he was catapulted into the ranks of top-earning models. In the case of Katharine McPhee, acting panned out to be the newest chapter of her ever-evolving career. On a different note, her beautiful poses might just belie yet another talent she still has under her sleeves. Indeed, it was not only depth but also diversity of talent that carried these two performers, among others, to where they are today.
We have, along the way, come across a number of other gifted personalities who also act and model. While they might not make it into the printed edition of DA MAN just yet, you can get to know them through our exclusive interviews and photo shoots on our website, daman.co.id. There you might also stumble upon our new “guide” videos from Indonesian celebrities like Alex Abbad, who shared bits of advice on beard grooming. There’s never a shortage on entertainment on this site.
Another surprise we have in this issue is the new Downtown column. Unlike generic travel guides, this one delves into trending topics and places in major cities around the world. For our inaugural Downtown column, we have chosen Japan’s capital: Tokyo. Mind you, this isn’t a piece about centuries-old temples, traditional tourist traps and cultural sightseeing; this is a walkthrough for the modern and ever-curious globetrotter.
