DA MAN

Celebration of Collaboration

-

his season is filled with an exciting bunch of fashion collaborations, from Berluti x Scott Campbell to Prada featuring Christophe Chemin to Kenzo x H&M. Although, admittedly, these many offers flooding the market can fluster even the most seasoned enthusiast (or what I personally dub “fashion fatigue”), these one-off collaborative creations can create a renewed spark of interest in fashion.

There is one particular collaborative effort, done during the making of this comprehensive issue, which is quite significant for us. TAG Heuer and DA MAN joined forces to create a special video project promoting the TAG Heuer Connected watch featuring MC extraordinaire and our longtime collaborator Daniel Mananta. You are more than welcome to check the video on our YouTube channel or on our website, daman.co.id. Of course, as always, keep an eye on our social media accounts, as we’re constantly ramping up our online editorial content.

Also out around the same time is the bi-annual DA MAN Style, which would definitely be a great reading partner to this issue. As a matter of fact, the fall/ winter ’16/’17 issue of DA MAN Style features even more exclusive interviews with international designers—from Christian Louboutin to Nicola Formichetti—and captures some of the season’s top campaign models. For the latter, our creative director, Mitchell Nguyen McCormack, and I teamed up to do the shoots ourselves.

While it may be a tad early to announce this, we’re going to do something special for the December ’16/January ’17 issue: putting the spotlight on British talent. Basically, actors and models from the United Kingdom will fill the pages of our very first British issue. So, subscribe now, and be the first to get the copy on your doorstep. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this issue as much as we did preparing it. Happy reading.
