light up the taste

Martell captures the energy of light that will brighten up your night with the Martell ncf

-

When you think about cognac, you would probably visualize a lavish and elegant party, full of gentlemen sporting classic double-breasted suits, perhaps with a cigar at hand too. Martell, the preeminent name in the world of fine cognac, however, is trying to move away from this long-held stereotype. And it is doing so by adding a touch of disco and the sparkling lights of the dance floor to the spirit, making it more hip, young and fresh.

This new image is captured perfectly by the cutting edge bottle of the Martell NCF. Thanks to its reflective metallic copper coating, the bottle displays glossy white lines to evoke the filtration process of the cognac inside. As a matter of fact, it also glows in the dark under UV light. Furthermore, the translucent top and bottom beautifully frames the amber-gold hue of the Martell NCF.

Brand New Vision

The NCF part of the Martell NCF stands for non-chilled filtered cognac. This marks the house’s first cognac of this kind. Put simply, a “non-chilled filtered cognac” indicates that the spirit was filtered at room temperature, as opposed to the usual practice of filtering at temperatures below zero degree. Why? Put simply: To give the cognac a fuller taste.

See, when a cognac is chill-filtered (usually between minus ten and plus four degrees) to clarify the appearance of the spirit and to remove unwanted residues, the process usually alters some of the esters and fatty acids that form the aroma, flavor and the very characteristic of the spirit. The Martell NCF, by comparison, unleashes the full potential of the cognac, creating a drink that is smoother, has a longer finish and projects a tantalizing array of extra flavors, aromas and textures—especially when served on ice.

Easy-breezy

Characterized by hints of apricot jam and vanilla, enhanced by notes of mandarin and grapefruit, the Martell NCF is definitely a refreshing drink. On the palate, notes of citrus peel, candied fruit and vanilla will make for a velvety texture, giving the drink a rounded and wellbalanced finish.

Of course, the Martell NCF does incredibly well in mixed drinks. Ideal partners for this cognac include peach, lemon tea, soda water or simply a dash of orange juice for a lively drink. Martell, by the way, has also introduced a pair of unique drinking rituals to really allow the Martell NCF to shine, namely the Martell Ice-Pool and the Martel Frappé. These two incredible experiences, as well as the Martell NCF itself, will soon be available in Indonesia. So, be ready to look forward to a whole new cognac experience.
