Announced just days before his fall/winter 2018 fashion show in Paris, Kim Jones’ time as artistic director for Louis Vuitton is set to end after seven years. “It has been a huge privilege to work with Kim,” says Michael Burke, chairman and chief executive of Louis Vuitton. “His ability to set trends is impeccable and his talent and determinat­ion have ensured that Louis Vuitton is firmly placed as the leading brand in luxury menswear today.” Kim Jones, whose last collection will be for the fall/winter 2018 season, also took to his Instagram account to thanks several LVMH executives and his team. “Thank you Louis Vuitton for seven wonderful years!” wrote Jones. “You really have been the best and I am grateful to Marc Jacobs for giving the opportunit­y to be here in the first place.”
