Based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons, “The Terror” centers on the Royal Navy’s treacherous journey to discover the Northwest Passage. In short, “The Terror” highlights “all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other” under extreme conditions, limited resources and a fear of isolation. Producing this series is none other than Ridley Scott of “The Alien,” “Blade Runner” and “Prometheus” fame. And if his previous works are any indication, “The Terror” will be an intense and harrowing series.
