Adapted from Lawrence Wright’s Pulitzer Prize-winning nonfiction book of the same name, “The Looming Tower” delves into the rise of Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden in the late ’90s, and how the conflict between the FBI and CIA might have inadvertently sparked the tragedy of 9/11 and the war in Iraq. The series follows members of the counter-terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA as they fight over highly sensitive information that could have potentially prevented 9/11.
