Sci-fi movies are making a strong showing this year, especially with titles like: “Ready Player One.” Based on the 2011 book by Ernest Cline, the movie takes place in the year 2045, where much of the world is riddled with slums. To escape this reality, people step into the virtual reality world of OASIS. The main protagonist of the movie is Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan), who is on a quest to win Anorak’s Game—a game created by the recentlydeceased creator of OASIS, in order to receive full ownership of the OASIS and Halliday’s $240 billion fortune. However, the corporate giant dubbed the IOI is set to find the treasure and take control of OASIS themselves. So, all (virtual) hell breaks loose.
