Based on a critically-acclaimed book, “A Wrinkle in Time” tells the story of Meg Murry ( Storm Reid), her intelligent younger brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) and her classmate Calvin O’Keefe (Levi Miller), who are transported to space by three peculiar beings in order to save her astrophysicist father, who is held captive by evil forces on a distant planet. Joining the cast is a long line of Hollywood hotshots including Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Michael Peña and Zach Galifianakis. Oscar-nominated Ava DuVernay of “Selma” is directing the movie, making her the first African-American woman to direct a film with a budget of over 100 million dollars. Besides the stellar cast, expect breathtaking visuals and a heartfelt narrative about the values of life.
