BR V1-92 RAC ING BIRD
Back in 2014, Bell & Ross created the B-Rocket, a motorcycle reminiscent of the 1950s bikes made to break land speed records. This was followed by the AeroGT supercar in 2016, the Bellytanker racing car in 2017 and, this year, the BR-Bird—a high-speed airplane the likes of which compete in the Reno Air Races. Naturally, the brand has a set of limited edition timepieces inspired by the flying machine: The BR V1-92 Racing Bird seen here and its slightly larger brother the BR V2-94. There is an unmistakable air of speed and performance in the design, which is further reinforced by the color scheme. The watch’s dial is white like the plane’s fuselage, the blue calls to mind the BR-Bird’s tail and decorative elements tracing its aerodynamic lines, while the touches of orange is a clear nod to flight instruments. This is most certainly a solid flyer’s watch.
case
The case of the BR V1-92 measures 38.5mm across and is made using satinpolished steel for a solid and reassuring feel on the wrist.
strap
The BR V1-92 Racing Bird comes equipped with a blue calfskin strap with orange lining, a clear nod to the color scheme of the BR-Bird concept plane and aviation in general.
movement
The watch is powered by the calibre BR-CAL.302 self-winding movement.
