Drake’s latest album, Nicki Minaj’ fourth, a highly energetic release by Gorillaz and a comeback by Interpol
Drake’s latest album, “Scorpion,” is one of those records that has a bit of just about everything. Which is not that surprising really, as it consists of a full 25 tracks. Furthermore, the album is split into two “sides,” with Side A featuring a much energetic hip-hop numbers and Side B focusing on moody R&B. Both of them have their own hero: Singles “God’s Plan” for Side A and “Nice for What” for Side B, which definitely add something new to Drake’s usual repertoire. Moreover, the likes of Michael Jackson (via old recordings), Jay-Z and Ty Dolla $ign also bring some welcome energy through their guest slots. With more songs than anyone seems to know what to do with, it’s safe to say that this is the most ambitious album of Drake’s career, by far.
