Athletic Edge
Boss is changing. The brand known for handsome suits and formal outfits is slowly pushing towards a more diverse image. Sportswear? Not quite, but for sure sport influences are in. With Ingo Wilts’ help, the brand has adopted a more relaxed silhouette over the past seasons. This fall/winter, the direction is becoming even clearer. Under the term “sports tailoring,” the collection takes inspiration from New York City, including its sports scene. Naturally, basketball shirts and jackets made major appearances, as well as oversize capes in nylon and wool-cashmere that has been hand-embroidered with baseball graphics. The all-new silhouette also includes oversized tops and tapered pants for a more relaxed attitude, some even with visible drawstring waists to emphasize its athleisure influence.
