Release October 2018 For the twelfth “Assassin’s Creed” game, Ubisoft moved the setting to Ancient Greece, four centuries before the events of “Assassin’s Creed Origins.” So, beside the new chapter of history to explore, what else can players expect from “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey”? Well, for one, this is much more of a role-playing game than previous entries in the franchise, with branching quests, dialog options and multiple endings— which, of course, will encourage multiple playthroughs. Naval combat—popularized by “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” will be making a comeback along with an expanded system for the kind of fighting that the series is best known for: up close and very, very personal.
