B ali-Based fashion brand BIASA has long been renowned for its unique “extraordinary-simplicity” philosophy. Now, it has just introduced an exciting new concept for its Kemang Boutique: Its first ever standalone men’s store. In fact, an entire floor at BIASA’s flagship store is now dedicated to its menswear collections for the discerning gentlemen of the nation’s capital. A milestone to remember “We have always celebrated the unique offerings we have for men at BIASA and have gained a great number of loyal clients over the years,” said Susanna Perini, founder of the brand. “We are proud to have created a tranquil escape from the bustling streets of Kemang, our first space dedicated to menswear where our clients can indulge in what we have to offer.”
Located on the second floor, the new menswear area is designed by Giovanni d’Ambrosio, a noted architect and long-time collaborator with BIASA, who permeated the store with an artful and delicate experience that highly reflects the brand’s “extraordinary-simplicity” spirit. There, visitors can expect a light and contemporary space decorated with bespoke fittings. Product displays are hand-made, using wrought iron, glass and stone, which very much reflects BIASA’s men and women’s collections that utilize only the finest natural fabrics as well as hand-made detailing and top tier craftsmanship. up close and Personal The aforementioned concept is also clearly present in BIASA’s summer 2018 collection, which employs new artisanal techniques including hand stitching, handmade pleats, fringe work and appliqués in several cotton and linen garments. These are enveloped with warm and rich colors that invoke the natural splendor of the African Sahara, including beige, orange and blue.
Other highlights include kaftans, sarongs and scarves featuring handmade block prints and tie-dye motifs. A capsule collection of shirts, kurtas and trousers, meanwhile, are made from traditional handwoven and naturally dyed fabric from India, Khadi. Furthermore, a range of ’50s-inspired shortsleeve and Hawaiian shirts imbues a fun retro vibe to the tropical range.
In addition to the brand’s latest summer 2018 collection, the new standalone men’s store also boasts BIASA’s Signature & Essentials line, which encompasses the brand’s signature cotton and linen T-shirts, shirts, shorts and trousers. A selection of men’s jewelry, accessories and even bespoke leather goods are also available. Rest assured, there’s always something new and fun at BIASA’s men store at Kemang.
