Interstellar Journeys

For its men’s spring/summer 2019 pre collection, Louis Vuitton, once again highlights its roots in travel. But the journey Louis Vuitton took this season was an unusual one: to outer space. Delivering an astronaut-inspired wardrobe for adventurous travelers, the collection evokes the interdimensional universe of space travel. There are planetary graphics, galaxy motifs inspired by the stars and Milky Way and technical detailing. The collection also uses metallic and reflective materials and a space-toned palette inspired by space suits worn by astronauts. A prime example would be the large LV intergalactic sunglasses or the Hawaiian shirt that combines a planetary print motif with a graphic Louis Vuitton Paris design.
