Director James Wan “Aquaman” is finally set to make a splash this December. As expected, the movie will touch on the origins of the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry a.k.a Aquaman; how he was left by his Atlantean mom and raised by a human father; how he discovered his special abilities and so on. That being said, “Aquaman” will not be a straightforward origin story, as it will also focus on the hero’s current adventures. For this portion, Aquaman will find himself caught in a conflict between land and sea, as the Atlanteans are ready to revolt against humans for polluting the ocean. Joining—or opposing— Aquaman in his solo debut are Mera (Amber Heard), Atlantean queen and Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), the villain.
