The latest EDITION Hotel has opened its doors in Shanghai. The Shanghai EDITION ( 199Nanjing RoadEast,Huangpu, Shanghai,China;+8621 53689955;editionhotels. com/shanghai) is comprised of two refurbished historic buildings. First is an art-deco building which used to be the former headquarters of the Shanghai Power Company. This part of the hotel houses the public area of the hotel, such as the bars, night club, spa, rooftop, meeting rooms and events areas as well as multiple restaurants, including the Shanghai Tavern by Michelin-statted Chef Jason Atherton. This building is connected through the Urban Lobby to the towering skyscraper that houses the hotel’s 145 rooms and suites, offering majestic views of Shanghai and The Bund. All in all, Shanghai EDITION certainly feels, as it aspires to be, like a city within a city.
