New Materials
As a nod to its roots in the military and aerospace industries, Bell & Ross has used a lightweight and ultra resilient material for the latest BRX1 Military called High Resistance Titanium (HRT). Mind you, this material is obtained using an entirely new process, which alters the titanium and makes it even more hardwearing. Always at the cutting edge of technical advances, the brand successfully combined a matte khaki high resistance titanium case with ultraluminous green display.
At first glance, the dial—made from tinted sapphire crystal—offers a fully transparent window into the workings of the watch. driven by the BR-cAl.313 automatic mechanical movement, this skeletonized chronograph is lightweight yet very resilient. On top of that, the X-shaped upper bridge is given a black dlc (diamond-like carbon) coating, the signature of the Bell & Ross experimental line. Moreover, the circular opening on the caseback also allows the wearer to admire—or show off—the beating heart of the watch.

so, the BR-X1 Military is not only fully “armored” but also presents a sophisticated and luxurious sporty look. But, again, function is a key element here. Take, for instance, the faceted hands and applique indexes which are filled with superluminova c3 to ensure optimal legibility during the day and at night.
The beautiful yet simple time display is based on the brand’s visual signature. Both the central hour and minute hands are read traditionally, while the small seconds hand is positioned at 3 o’clock and the skeletonized date dial is positioned at 6 o’clock. for a subtle twist, instead of a hand, the minute timer on the chronograph function features an ultra-light aluminum disc resembling the blades of a turbine. Rounding up the BR-X1 Military’s display package is a tachymeter scale on the khaki flange, while a perforated rubber strap adds a final—and comfortable—touch.
