T imberland boots are made to last. If there’s one thing certain about the brand, it’s the durability of its products—as embodied by its signature yellow boots introduced back in 1973.
This year, Timberland revisited this icon while introducing a host of improvements. Dubbed “The Ultimate Winter Boot Collection,” these new waterproof boots are made to withstand even the worst weather conditions—without compromising style. The collection comprises two models—the Radford 6-Inch Lightweight Waterproof Boots and the Radford Plain Toe Waterproof Chukka—and is offered in various colors.
What really makes “The Ultimate Winter Boot Collection” truly the ultimate choice for outdoor adventurers, however, are these four leading features:
1. waterproof leather
Like so many Timberland boots, the ones in the Ultimate collection are waterproof. But they’re not simply given a waterproof coating, as the boots’ waterproof qualities are actually impregnated into the leather during the tanning process. Furthermore, the Ultimate Winter Boots are also seam-sealed to keep water out and help the wearer’s feet stay comfortably dry.
2. Gripstick rubber
To provide better traction, these boots have also been equipped with Gripstick rubber outsoles. This type of sole is engineered for superior grip, allowing it to become dependably anti-slippery. When it comes in contact with water, the rubber soles instantly pushes the water away. This makes the boots in question also perfect for sailing or boating. As an added bonus, the soles are also “non-marking,” that won’t leave a trace.
3. sensorflex comfort system Technology
The result of three years of R&D, Sensorflex™ Comfort Technology provides unbeatable comfort and flexibility. This innovation essentially provides a three-layered design: The top for stability, the middle for shock absorption and suspension and the bottom for flexibility and traction. Altogether, it provides a special underfoot feel that you won’t find in many boots.
4. 100-percent PET Laces
Last but not least, every boot in this collection side also equipped with laces made entirely of recycled plastic—PET, to be exact—bottles, which also goes to show Timberland’s unwavering commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
