Martin’s novella of the same name—which has been adapted to film once already in 1987—“Nightflyers” is a sci- fi psychological thriller set in the year 2093 on the eve of Earth’s destruction. It follows a team of scientists aboard the Nightflyer, the most advanced ship ever built, as they embark on a journey to find a mysterious alien ship on the edge of the solar system that might hold the knowledge needed to save mankind. Little did they know, the true horror isn’t waiting for them out there— it’s already on their ship. When terrifying events begin to take place in the ship, the group starts questioning each other and they start to die one- by- one.
