Taking a step towards change, Gucci announced a new global program and scholarship fund called Gucci Changemakers. Following the company’s announcement for a long-term diversity and action plan, Gucci Changemakers will include three separate sectors. First, the Gucci Changemakers Fund, a $5 million fund that will be used to build strong connections within the AfricanAmerican community. Second is the Gucci Changemakers Scholarship Program that focuses on empowering young people through education. For this program, The Changemakers Council will select eligible students from schools across North America and the grant will help them to fund their education. And lastly, Gucci Changemakers Volunteering that empowers all of their employees worldwide to dedicate up to 4 paid days off for volunteering activities in their local communities.
