The eight- part series follows Nadia ( Natasha Lyonne), a 30-something New Yorker who dies at her own birthday party then wakes up in the bathroom of her friend’s flat, just to find out that she is forced to relive the party over and over again and dying in increasingly absurd ways after each reset. One night Nadia meets Allen ( Charlie Barnett) who is experiencing the same thing and together they learn more about themselves and each other. Not your typical comedy, "Russian Dolls" actually has layers of emotion and it gets better through the end.
