“Lupin” is inspired by the classic French stories about Arsenè Lupin, the famous thief and master of disguise. In this new rendition, Senegalese immigrant and gentleman thief Assane Diop ( Omar Sy) lives in Paris. His father was accused and found guilty of stealing a priceless necklace belonging to Marie Antoinette. He was thrown into prison, where he died. Knowing that white people often overlook black immigrants, Assane, who works as a janitor, uses that to his advantage to carry out his heists. Available on Netflix.
