WITH THE SUPPORT OF TECHNOLOGY ART PLATFORM CLAMOUR, ART MOMENTS JAKARTA LAUNCHES ITS ONLINE EDITION

-

Art Moments Jakarta, a leading contemporary art exhibition in Indonesia that envisions and encourages the growth of the Indonesian art landscape while also promoting Jakarta as an international art tourism destination, has recently unveiled its plan to launch the first “Art Moments Jakarta Online” (AMJO) through a virtual platform. Aside to the exhibition, Art Moments Jakarta will also present Art Conversations, a series of discussions with multiple topics related to Art and Mental Health, Art and Investment and also the Crypto Art.

“During the pandemic, we are looking for avenues where our patrons and partners can still engage,” explained Leo Silitonga, Founder and Art Director of Art Moments Jakarta. “A virtual platform is the answer to accommodate the gap, to act as a bridge between the gallery owners and art enthusiasts, and actively promote Indonesian artists and their artworks.”

The exhibition itself will include works from the likes of Singaporean artist Jay Ho who works with abstract patterns, renowned Indonesian artist Eddy Susanto who historical narratives and the development of identity in his art, as well as also Mira Hoeng, the textile artist behind Miwa Patterns.

Moments Jakarta will also include the “53 never forgotten” NFT Art by Ruanth and Cindy Thijssen, as an homage to the 53 crew members who passed away in the recent KRI Nanggala tragedy, and the 53 families whose lives will carry on. To top it off, the proceeds of the sales will be donated to the family of the crews.

Interestingly, Art Moments Jakarta Online also collaborated with Clamour, a technology art platform that focuses on Chinese and Southeast Asian art, with activities covering academia, online sales and art tech industries. The Clamour application is block chain embedded and provides the option to purchase artworks using cryptocurrencies, which is in line with Art Moments Jakarta’s current spotlight regarding Nonfungible Token (NFT) as well as Crypto art.

“Art Moments Jakarta Online” will be open across virtual platforms through

artmomentsjakarta.com, and the Clamour mobile app from June 1 until June 30, 2021. It will also be accompanied by three offline exhibitions, making it the first hybrid art fair in Indonesia, at Jakarta’s leading art galleries (Art:1, D Gallerie, CAN’S Gallery).
